John A.
On 7th November 2009, of cancer, in Lancaster, PA, in his 85th year, devoted husband of Sally Melcher, father of Andrew, Anne, Virginia and Sarah and proud grandfather. Second son of Dr and Mrs Ernest Jarvis of Wellington Church, Glasgow. He was educated at Kelvinside Academy and St Andrews University before emigrating to the US where he was Headmaster of Lancaster Country Day School.
