Sibbald - Elizabeth Neilson (nee McCaig) Bett : Obituary

SIBBALD — ELIZABETH NEILSON (nee McCAIG) BETT. Taken suddenly, from her loving family, at the Western Infirmary, Glasgow, on Tuesday, 8th December 2009, beloved wife of the late James, mother of James and of the late Fiona, grandmother to Emma, Katy and Zayne, mother-in-law to Christina, step-grandmother to Jonathan, Alex and Megan. Family and friends are respectfully invited to the funeral service at Broomhill Parish Church, Randolph Road, on Friday, 18th December 2009, at 10.30am followed by committal at Glasgow Crematorium, Tresta Road, Maryhill, at 11.30am. No flowers please but donations, if desired, to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Fiona's family

I had been thinking of Fiona and when I googled her, was so shocked that in her mum's obituary,it was clear that she had predeceased her.Fiona ,Jean Towart(Kerr)and I,were really good friends @ Dundee College of Eduacation way back in the 'seventies.After graduation I came to London,Fiona went to Tarragona and we met only a few times after that.The flippancy of youth !Always too busy to touch base and endlessly procrastinating.Jean has been in |London for decades too and we're still close friends,teaching and have children,like Fiona.We would like to express our sadness ,love and fantastic memories of our vibrant,positive, friend and "girl with the green mini"Fiona Flame-haired Sibbald.

Sympathy

My first job was with John Roberston Elec in Bath St Mrs Sibbald was running the company as Mrs Sibbald was ill but still working at home that was in 1970 - sorry to hear about Mrs Sibbald and Fiona's death
