Frederick SHREEVE. Born 08.05.1937 Died 27.01.2010. Fred was born and raised in Southend on Sea. When he left school he had various jobs before he followed is Father and Brother by joining the Merchant Navy. He met and married Brenda in 1959, after having 5 Children he left the Navy and joined the NHS, finishing his career as Head Porter at Rochford Hospital. He retired in 1990. Fred was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in the Spring of 2008. After enduring the treatment, he made wonderful progress, keeping the cancer under control. However, in January, Fred lost his battle with such dignity and pride. Fred leaves all of us with such wonderful memories. A Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and friend to so many "Forever in our hearts May you rest in peace" His funeral and a celebration of his life will be held at Southend Crematorium on Friday 12th February at 2.40 pm and afterwards at The Camelia Hotel, Eastern Esplanade Family flowers only.
