KINDER — SIMON LAURENCE. It is with great sadness that the family mourn the sudden and untimely death of Simon at his home in Ascot last weekend. Simon, formerly of Newton Mearns, Glasgow and recently the Managing Director of Magimix Ltd UK, will be sorely missed by his children Max and Katya, his parents Dorothy and Graham, brothers Andrew and Stephen, sisters-in-law Pam and Yvonne, nephews Luke, Gavin and Alistair, his many friends and colleagues in business. Details of the funeral arrangements in Ascot will be intimated later.

Report this message By Stephen on 22nd May 2010For 8 years, our swim team was unbeaten in Galasgow. 30 years on we reconnected from around the globe because of Simon, and having rediscovered our kindred spirits we were looking forward to many more reunions to come. We were proud to call Simon our teammate and friend: he was a special guy—warm, full of life, fun, and truly inspiring—and he insisted on us having this photo taken in Sep 2009. We will always miss him, but at least we have one final special moment to thank him for.

Report this message By David Davidson on 21st May 2010Simon was one of only 4 who made it to our last Coconut weekend -two years ago.
We spent a weekend in Marbella. The golf was awful but with Simon, Graham G and Keith,we laughed all weekend.
It was the best of times. Simon hadn't changed in all those years. He had a stream of ( bad ) jokes and usually reserved these for when Iwas putting.
That is how I will remember him -mischievous, fun and great company.

I am devastated and deeply saddened to learn of your passing. You were an integral part of our group of friends and your friendship, energy and dry sense of humour cannot be repleced. It leaves a hole in our lives that cannot be filled. My deepest sympathies go to Mr & Mrs Kinder, Katja & Max, Stephen & Andrew. We will remember you with great fondness and will raise a glass to you in memeory of all you brought to our group. No doubt there will be many others who's life you touched will do the same.

Report this message By tony murland on 19th May 2010Simon was a treasure, he was a family friend and offered his friendship to myself and my two daughters which we will now remember forever. He was so unselfishly supportive to my daughters with his amazing business experience. We have all lost a lovely friend but we will not despair , he would not have wanted that , we will go forward and remember him forever, Tony Murland. Kin Knives
