I miss you. I didn't know what it felt like to lose someone special to you before this and I hate that you had to be my first experience.

I always hate it when someone says we're saying goodbye to Nan, because I know that no matter what you'll always be with us. It's not goodbye when the person is watching over you.

You gave us courage to speak of how much we loved you at your funeral and I know there will be plenty of times in the fufture when I will feel brave because of you.

God blessed us with you Nan, and I feel so grateful that I got to know you. I know many people who don't know their great-grandparents, and even though I didn't get the chance to meet Grandad Tom I just feel so lucky to know you.

I feel scared to look into a future without you but I know deep down that I shoudn't because you will be there always and we'll go through the hard times together.

The world has lost an angel but heaven has gained one. Grandad Tom and Derek will look after you now, you're back with them where you belong.

I'll always love you and you'll always be my inspiration, I hope I can touch as many hearts as you did in one lifetime but even if I become only half the wondeful woman you were I'd be proud.

I miss you so much every day, Nanny Doff,and I know that you would have loved your service today, even though you insisted on us not getting you a lot of flowers and we got you a lot. You deserved them.

You touched so many lives with your kindness, and everyone who has met you will certainly never forget you.

I hope you have fun in heaven with Grandad Tom and Derek, and I know that you will always be watching over us.

Just know that I love you so much and if I grow up to be half the woman you were then I know I've had an amazing life.
