Dr. Alan Richard BONE. 07/01/1934 – 01/07/2010. Former Rochford General Practitioner Dr. Alan Bone passed away on 1st July 2010 at Dafoe Court Nursing Home in County Durham following a long illness. His funeral was held at the crematorium in Darlington on 28th July where he was attended by his family and a few close friends. He is survived by his beloved Wife, Doreen and Children Michael and Helen. Born and raised originally in London, Alan moved to Rochford in 1964 following a five year short service commission in the Royal Air Force and joined the Central Surgery team. Two years later he become a senior partner in the practice and over the years that followed built the practice into one of the most successful in the county. For over thirty year he served the people of Rochford as a family doctor before illness forced his eventual retirement. A memorial service will be held for Dr. Alan Bone on Saturday 16th October 2010 at 15:00 (3pm) in the Congregation Church, North Street Rochford. Friends, Colleagues and former patients most welcome.
